Our Psychiatric practice was founded by Dr. Shailja Chaturvedi in 1982. Currently the psychiatric practice has three consultant psychiatrists, who provide a range of general psychiatry services including:

Our skilled psychiatrists are well-versed with medico-legal assessment as well as veteran’s assessment. They are able to provide comprehensive psychiatric care to all age groups as part of our general and specialised psychiatric services.

Dr. Raj Singh
Dr. Raj Singh has been working as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Penrith Ophthalmology and Psychiatry Center since September 2016. He was awarded Fellowship of Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 2011, in addition to his specialist psychiatrist qualifications (MD, Psychiatry) from India in 2001.

We also offer ophthalmology services, with our team headed by Dr. Jay Chandra who was the Senior Retinal Surgeon at Westmead Public Hospital and established the Vitreoretinal Unit there in 1985. He is now "Consultant Emeritus to Westmead Public Hospital". He currently operates at Nepean Private and Somerset Private Hospitals.

Dr. Shanil Dhanji is a locally trained Ophthalmologist with advanced expertise in medical retina, cataract and vitreoretinal surgery. Dr. Dhanji is a clinical lecturer at " The University of Sydney's Save Sight Institute".
